Environmental Policy
Most of the supply and distribution systems, which are said to be the blood flow of Japanese industry, are supported by diesel trucks.
While we take pride in playing a role in that, we have also made great efforts to adapt our trucks to the environment.
Today, to help protect the global environment, improving the environmental performance of diesel trucks has become a national issue in Japan.
We pledge a continuous commitment to the preservation of the global environment in all areas related to our products.
In addition, the global environment is currently changing at an unprecedented rate, and we have become aware of the difficulty of preserving the environment in our daily lives.
As a member of society, we believe that our company should also participate in social activities to improve the current situation as well as maintain in-depth awareness and pursue concrete actions.
We have formulated an environmental code of conduct in order to steadily promote the above.
POINT 1Harmony with the Earth, Coexistence with the Environment
In order to coexist in harmony with the lush and clear nature of the Tenryu River and to continue manufacturing vehicles in an area full of humanity, we commit to always being aware of the environmental impact of our development, procurement, production and office management activities, and furthermore, our employees will work together to promote environmental management.
POINT 2Compliance with Laws, Regulations and Manuals
We will comply with national laws and local government ordinances that apply to our activities and products, as well as additional environmental requirements that we believe should be respected.
POINT 3Starting at the Source
We will maintain and improve our environmental management system in order to raise awareness about the prevention of environmental pollution and promote thorough measures to address its source.
POINT 4Waste Minimization, Resource Efficiency, and Cleaner Production
As with the environmental aspects of our products, we will set environmental objectives and targets for the environmental aspects of our manufacturing processes and other corporate activities, such as the consumption of energy resources and waste emissions, and we will formulate and implement action plans to achieve these objectives and targets.
POINT 5Continuous Evaluation of the Effectiveness of our Environmental Initiatives
We will monitor the achievement of our environmental objectives and targets and conduct an annual management review.
Initiatives to Reduce Substances of Environmental Concern (SOC)Our achievement toward the elimination of 4 substances of environmental concern
We have achieved the elimination of four substances of environmental concern (Cadmium, Lead, Mercury, Hexavalent Chromium) in our main products (Hamic, the car carrier, and the car carrier trailer).
We will continue to maintain and expand the range of products covered by the SOC-free policy.
